Meet the Staff K-9 Trainer / Instructor: Kathy McKienzie has been involved in dog sport since 1997 where she started in the world of Schutzhund. With the untimely death of her first GSD at 2 1/2 she entered the world of Urban Search and Rescue with her second GSD (click here for photos). She is a state certified USAR handler. Though on hiatus from USAR, she has been offering private training since 2003. Training Sessions include training of the dog as well as the more important aspect of training the owner/handler how to train/work their K-9. Past clients include multiple breeds including German Shepherds, Doberman, Boxer, Pit Bull, and Retrievers.
