Diego, a 7 yr old , 80 lb, high drive rich Black and Tan GSD, is from German import working line parents. Purchased to be a top Schutzhund competitor, he demonstrated natural full grips early on. However, due to my change in focus to USAR, he was not brought along in SCH training. He possesses all the attributes of an excellent working dog and would have excelled in Schutzhund or Police work as well. His hunt/ tracking drive is through the roof which has lent to his success as a search dog. Due to an injury at 7 months of age, Diego was unable to OFA. After speaking to the OFA in regards to his injury, xrays, and his pedigree with 5 plus generations of A1 normals the conclusion was that, since his flawed xray was due to an injury and not inheritance, breeding him was still acceptable. All puppies will come with a full hip guarantee as will all litters produced at McKienzie Farm
